Susie Bazil and “The Sick Bug”

Join Northfield Urgent Care staff at our booth in Central Park on Saturday, September 12th from 10am-5pm as Ms. Bazil reads this light-hearted tale about how a child catches “a bug”.

In this story, little Tess learns that she has a “bug” and is concerned there is a hairy creepy-crawly insect inside of her.  Mom explains what a “sick bug” is and helps Tess understand how it affects her little body and how she needs to send “the bug” home.

Ms. Bazil is a mother of three and resides in Orono, Minnesota.  She taps into our imagination with this lyrical, humorous tale of “sick bugs” that may cause colds, sneezes and coughs making children feel lousy.

Illustrator Shawn McCann, also from Minnesota, is an award-winning artist who uses bold color and forms to captivate the audience of this book.

Copies of the book, published by Beaver’s Pond Press, will be available for purchase and Ms. Bazil will be delighted to personally address it to your little one and any of their “sick bugs.”
